Epcot with a baby
On January 6, 2024 by adminWhile I never thought we’d go to Disney with kids until they were older, the opportunity presented itself and we couldn’t pass up a chance to “see around the world” with our 3 month old in tow.
Here’s our top tips:
Rent a stroller on Babyquip
If you’re not traveling with a stroller (we traveled with the Doona but didn’t want L in it all day), rent the stroller you have at home on https://www.babyquip.com (they’ll even drop it off at the hotel / AirBNB you’re staying at!)
Pay for the premium parking
You’ll see signs for it as you enter the park, and it puts you in the front most parking area to walk right in to the entrance gates. 100% worth the cost.
Buy your tickets online
This one feels like a no brainer? But the lines we saw for ticket sales were insane and I couldn’t imagine standing in them with an infant when he was already sure to be a ticking time bomb!
Fun fact: Disney parks do sell out some days. And buying your tickets ahead of time and loading them onto the Disney Experience app allows you to set up your ride Genies for the day (the map and ride wait times were handy too!)
Map out the countries you care most about
We based it on food we wanted to eat, because you likely won’t make it to all of them with a baby😅
There are rides baby can go on
Although we didn’t choose Epcot for rides, I was pleasantly surprised by this! We only made it onto 3 but a major FYI: the Figment ride goes completely dark at one point and blows air in your face. L was 3 months old and got scared and started screaming crying. Thank god it was at the end😵💫
Highly recommend hitting The Seas with Nemo for the aquarium as you exit the ride.
Dinner at Space 220 is a must
The restaurant is really cool and has a “fine dining experience” you don’t see much through the parks. We did the dinner tasting menu and it was great! Was so nice to be able to get a more upscale meal in a laid back environment with kids!
Note that although it’s fine dining, you can go right in your “park attire”, we just happened to tap out mid day and go back after freshening up that evening!
Miscellaneous information
You can bring bottled water into the park for formula as well as snacks! There’s a baby care center next to Mexico if you need a quiet space, need to buy any baby products or a place to pump/breast feed! Otherwise every bathroom had changing tables!
As everything about having a baby goes, some prep and important details made Epcot with a baby a pretty seamless day!✨
